ASL & Interpreting Mentor
Jaclyn Tyrcha is a Deaf interpreter and Language Mentor who has been surrounded by interpreters her entire life, and she has the stories to prove it. She served as Director of Interpreting for a major VRS company, trained interpreters as a regional trainer, and managed interpreters at one of those Mag 7 companies. Before all that, she was a Teacher of the Deaf, working side by side with educational interpreters in Pre-K-12 classrooms. So yes, she knows exactly what happens in the hot seat. Her favorite things to dig into are the parts no textbook or AI can cover: humor, sarcasm, message delivery, humanity, and how to connect. Jaclyn is a language nerd at heart who loves playing with ASL and English, because she believes people learn best when they are having fun. She will happily dork out over a single sign choice for ten minutes. Feedback with her comes honest, practical, and with a good laugh on the side. Today she runs Elevated Mindshift Consulting, a leadership advisory, and Clear Signs Connection, where she works as an animal communicator. Two languages, two species, one passion: connection.
